Civic Engagement

The strength of our democracy is, to a great extent, dependent on the vitality of our civic culture.

 

At Our Commonwealth, we believe that the work of cultivating an informed and engaged citizenry is the work of preserving our democracy for our inheritors. 

 

Our organization's initial work is mostly at the local level and consists of the following activities:​

  • Voter registration and nonpartisan mobilization

  • Voter issue forums

  • Local legislator scorecards on major current issues

  • Local candidate forums on major current issues
